Bob Shoaf explains a top network marketing secret on being persistent in building your business. There is an old saying when the going gets tough the tough gets going. Everybody knows that good is the enemy of the great.

And everybody says that you got to plant seeds! Because it all starts with the roots which means talking to a bunch of people and building relationships. Without building relationships in this business you are toast because people join people. They do NOT join companies or buy products. They purchase products and are in business with people whom they know, like and trust.

The more contacts you have in life the luckier you become especially when it comes to building your team. What if you had no money in the bank at age 65 years old? What would be your cheapest solution? The answer is building your spiderweb! Because if you have the relationship with people they will follow you to another company if they had to!

CHAPTER 9 PERSISTENCE: THE SUSTAINED EFFORT NECESSARY TO INDUCE FAITH

The Eighth Step toward Riches

Napoleon Hill says, "PERSISTENCE is an essential factor in the procedure of transmuting DESIRE into its monetary equivalent. The basis of persistence is the POWER OF WILL."

He goes on to say, "Will-power and desire, when properly combined, make an irresistible pair."

Again Hill refers to Chapter 2, DESIRE. We must complete the six steps in that chapter. Write them down and say them twice daily, morning and night. This is not a suggestion, it is a requirement for success.

I have put mine on 4" x 6" cards and have one near my computer and one on the night stand by the bed. They include my "WHY" from Chapter 2 of Success In 10 Steps as well as the answers to Chapter 2 steps.

Be here a year from now. Going through the 15 chapters of Think and Grow Rich once will not be enough.

When I found Mentoring For Free, I had several decades to develop a negative mindset. I was not going develop the required mindset in a few weeks. I am still learning to apply Hill's 13 steps. I am still working on the mindset that is required for the success I DESIRE.

In a year, I will tell myself, be here another year. Why not, where can one find the value offered like I find here in Mentoring For Free?

The dictionary defines persistence as: the ability to stick with something. If you practice the violin for over a year in order to play "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" perfectly, that's persistence!

Persistence can also mean something that lasts for a very long time.
