CHAPTER 12 THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND THE CONNECTING LINK

The Eleventh Step toward Riches

Hill states, "The subconscious acts first on the dominating desires which have been mixed with emotional feeling, such as faith."

We are taught to say our self-talk several hundred times daily using a positive statement beginning with, "I AM….." It must be positive, present and personal. The "I AM….", makes it present and personal. It is up to us to furnish the rest of the statement and keep it positive. Then mix it with emotional feelings, such as faith.

Hill says in one of the chapters, we can say our self-talk a million times. If we do not say it with emotion and faith, we will not attract our desires.

We must be PERSISTENT. Our subconscious mind can only act voluntarily through habit.

Our subconscious mind is always at work. If we don't feed it positive thoughts, it will act on thoughts that are generated by neglect, which are usually negative thoughts.

Thoughts are things. They follow the law of the universe. Negative thoughts, create negative results. Positive thoughts create positive results.

If we are to learn how to attract anything and anyone we DESIRE into our lives, we must be patient and persistent and utilize the  8 Major Positive Emotions:

Desire, faith, love, s_x, enthusiasm, romance, hope and prosperity.

The 8 Major Negative Emotions are to be avoided:

Fear, jealousy, hatred, revenge, greed, superstition, anger and lack.

Understanding this principle is required for success. That is why just reading a prayer book will not allow the subconscious mind to translate our desires to Infinite Intelligence.
