Because without personal development you could be earning six figures and blow it all up because your subconscious mind says "Who are you to be earning more money than your father has?" You don't deserve it! That is why it is so important to work on our success thermostat today NOT tommorow!

Mr Hill tells "There exists a great unseen streamof power, which may be compared to a river, except that one side flows in one direction, carrying all who get into that side of the stream onward and upward wealth- and the the other side flows in the opposite direction carrying all who are unfortunate enough to get into it (and not able to extricate themselves from it) downward to misery and poverty."

These words clearly indicates that there are two groups of people in the world, those who are positive and those who are negative.  People with positive emotions believe that everything is possible once you make a decision and believe in it. Those are the people who accumulate and are often leaders.  The other group of people are negative and do not believe in the power of positive thoughts.  Most people seem to fall in the latter catogery.

Mr Hill continues to write "Every man who has accumulated a great fortune has recognized the existence of this stream of life. It consists of ones' Thinking Process.  The positive emotions of thought form he side of the stream which carries one to fortune.  The negative emotions form the side which carries one down to poverty"
