Chapter 4 - Auto-Suggestion

We are told by Hill "the subconscious mind takes any orders given it in a spirit of absolute
FAITH, and acts upon those orders, although the orders often have to be
presented over and over again, through repetition, before they are
interpreted by the subconscious mind."

So we begin to say our self talk, our auto-suggestion.  We say it
50 times, 100 times, 500 times, 2000 times.  We are on a roll.  We
get excited because we have been told that if we say our self talk over and
over and believe it works we will be successful.  After all, Michael Dlouhy
tells us that is what was the one thing that made him become what he
is today -  a successful Network Marketer.  We are following the Master.

We say our self talk for days, for weeks, for months and nothing happens.
We begin to wonder and question what the problem is.  We are emotional when we say it and
Hill tells us that is one of the secrets, to be emotional when repeating our
self talk.  Hill tells us to concentrate and we are concentrating so what is
the issue?

Hill tells us, "Plain, unemotional words do not influence the subconscious
mind. You will get no appreciable results until you learn to reach your
subconscious mind with thoughts, or spoken words which have been well
emotionalized with BELIEF."

We tell ourselves we have emotion and we believe but do we really have the
emotion and belief.  Michael Dlouhy had belief.  He joined 100 companies to
figure out how they work.  That is belief.  Michael Dlouhy sold his boat
so he could concentrate on building his business.  That is belief.  Michael
wrote a book and gave it away for free when everyone told him not to do it.
He gave it away anyway.  That is belief.

Michael Dlouhy asks us "If you knew you could not fail, how differently would
you live your life."

Michael knew he could not fail and lived his life knowing he would not fail
because he knew and believed in himself.

How strong is our belief?  How emotional are we about our success?
Do we believe just in the process of repetitive self talk.

Denis Waitley wrote "To establish true self-esteem we must concentrate on our successes
and forget about the failures and the negatives in our lives."

Everything in life is a choice and all choices have automatic consequences
whether we want it to or not.    Do we believe enough to follow through with
our choices and really believe WE can become successful?
