John Smith describes an exclusive network marketing secret on being peristent today which means doing whatever it takes to win whether they are good times or bad times. There is an old saying when the going gets tough the tough get going, especially during turbulent economic times! Read on how Edwin Barnes who started out with no money, no education and no influence became the partner of Thomas Edison after 5 years of doing menial work for him and then sold the ediphone while the other salesmen who were the so called professionals did NOT believe it could be sold. Barnes proved them wrong and became wealthy!

Think and Grow Rich.
Chapter 1 Thoughts are things.
For a long time, I thought this chapter was just about Walter C. Barnes, his desire to be in business as a partner with Thomas Edison, how he had to work for him until his opportunity came along and how he became wealthy and achieved his dream because he ‘hung in’, (persistence) there until he realized his chance had arrived and seized it with both hands.
I now realize there are other lessons to be learnt even this early into the book.
Deep into the chapter we read, “Another weakness found in altogether too many people, is the habit of measuring everything, and everyone, by their own impressions and beliefs. Some who will read this, will believe that no one can THINK AND GROW RICH.
They cannot think in terms of riches, because their thought habits have been steeped in poverty, want, misery, failure, and defeat”. How often has Michael told us that very same thing? That if we want to reach the income and lifestyle of our dreams, we MUST come at it from the direction of success conscious by replacing ‘stinking thinking’ with positive thought, daily affirmation using self-talk, persistence and a mind which remains open to opportunity.
Some may wonder if all this is just mumbo jumbo, let me use my own Country as a modern-day example of collective ‘stinking thinking’. Exactly as after the Great Depression when many Americans felt there was little hope for brighter tomorrows and acted that way, here in the UK we have a similar situation.
The country has been through a period of recession which, according to much of the popular press will continue unless and until the Government does ‘something’ – not each of us as individuals but the Government.
This parade of poverty has so badly affected some, they have lost all sense of optimism or faith in their own abilities and decided to wait for better days to come along.
What makes this apathy so strange, is that below the screaming headlines of doom and gloom, those same newspapers are carrying wonderful stories of individuals creating personal fortunes, employing people and making huge positive contributions to society – I believe because NOBODY TOLD THEM THERE WAS A RECESSION so they believed in themselves and just got on with doing, not complaining.
